Play Week Maryland

This year, applications are being taken online only. 

Play Week Maryland offers adult amateur musicians a week of concentrated ensemble playing and musical camaraderie along with outstanding coaching in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere. Individuals with moderate to advanced abilities and pre-formed groups of any level are accepted. We admit mostly strings but also accept a few pianists and wind players. Repertoire is assigned 3-4 weeks in advance. There are two coached sessions daily, special topic sessions, informal ensembles, and participant and faculty concerts. The workshop culminates in the participants’ recital on Saturday evening. The lovely campus of Washington College is in Chestertown, a pre-colonial town on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
