The Chamber Music Network

New Music On The Point

31 May, 2020 to 13 June, 2020
Workshop
JACK Quartet on Lake Dunmore

We are open to participants who work within all contemporary musical aesthetics, as well as those who also sing vocal chamber music, performers who play notated and improvised music, singers with theatrical experience, etc.

During our program, participants engage in an intensive schedule of instruction, rehearsals, seminars, workshops and nightly concerts. Every day there is time for composing, practicing, rehearsing and spontaneous musical and recreational experiences. Each of the participating composers will have a new chamber work premiered on the final concerts of the Festival. They will also have masterclasses with Master Artist composers, individual lessons with faculty composers and present their own work for feedback from faculty and peers.

Faculty and Master Artist performers give individual lessons as well as coaching chamber works, leading workshops and presenting seminars on their professional work. Faculty performers “coach from within” on the participant composer works. Each performer will perform on at least one faculty composer’s work and will have several faculty-coached ensembles to participate in.
