VIRTUAL Be Better with Bergonzi (17th Annual Workshop)
SPEND A WONDERFUL WEEKEND PLAYING AND LEARNING ABOUT CHAMBER MUSIC. LEARN TO RECORD A PIECE WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE OR TABLET— YOU DON’T NEED TO BE A TECH GENIUS. Working with our coaches via Zoom conference calls, string players will intensively study two selected quartet movements, as well as learning simple recording techniques. At the end, they will create a virtual quartet performance with other students. Because of the format, we will choose the repertoire, and we can only take string players this year. You just need a computer, tablet or smartphone with an Internet connection, capable of using Zoom; and your smartphone or tablet should be able to record a short video. You can ask to be placed in a virtual quartet with specific persons, or else just enroll individually and we will match you with others who are compatible. Tuition for the entire session is $100, including all classes and a video of your quartet recording to show your fans. Some scholarships are available, with fulltime students having preference. Help support professional musicians and our community orchestra, while enjoying your weekend.
